1. Application. Parents are given an application form which should be returned to the school office along with the application fee. The Academy office will provide the current schedule of fees.
a) Kindergarten students must be four and five years old by September 1 of the school year. First Grade students must be six years old by September 1 of the school year to be considered for enrollment.
b) Exceptions will be considered for students whose entrance readiness assessment shows exceptional maturity and whose birth date is in close proximity to September 1.
c) Applications for Pre-Kindergarten, Kindergarten, and First Grade must be accompanied with a copy of the child's birth certificate and immunization record.
2. Evaluation. Applicants above kindergarten level are assessed for mental maturity and achievement levels prior to confirmation of grade placement. Berean Academy is dedicated to determining the appropriate academic level at which the student my succeed.
3. Records. For new and transferring students in grades one and above, Berean Academy requests a transcript of academic records and standardized test scores from the previous school. Immunization records are also requested.
4. Acceptance. A decision on the student's application is made by the Admissions Committee after all enrollment materials are received. A final interview with parents is scheduled by the principal for accepted students.
The Academy is not equipped to meet the needs of children with physical, emotional, or physical challenges.
It is the policy of the Academy not to accept students with records of serious disciplinary or academic problems.
Probationary admission is sometimes granted for students with unique or extenuating circumstances.
Berean Christian Academy admits students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin to all the rights, programs, and activities available at this school. It does not discriminate in administration of educational policies, athletic and other school-administered programs.
